Meet Our Optometrists

Lisa Hamilton, OD graded Magne Cum Lade from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Hamilton performed two cornea specialty externships while in her 4th year of optometry school.  In June 1997, she moved to Denver and went to work for a prominent LASIK surgeon (Jon Dishler, MD) in the Denver Tech Center where she performed pre-LASIK consultations and post-LASIK evaluations.  

Audrey Merryman, OD works primarily at the Boulder location.   She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 2004.   During her 4th year of optometry school, Dr. Merryman completed externships in ocular disease, pediatrics & contact lens fitting.  

Immediately after graduating from optometry school, Dr. Merryman joined a private optometric practice in Brighton, Colorado.  

In February 2005, Dr. Merryman joined Dr. Hamilton at the SW Plaza location.  Starting in May 2011, Dr. Merryman transferred to the Boulder office location.

Dr. Merryman is an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Colorado Optometric Association (COA) and is recognized by the AOA in their cornea and contact lens section.  

In her spare time, Dr. Merryman enjoys cooking, photography and boating with her husband Brian.

Max Pettijohn, OD is a recent graduate from the Illinois College of Optometry.  He is originally from Loveland, Colorado and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in physiology from the University of Colorado.  He completed his externships at “Daniel and Davis Optometry” in Carlsbad, CA, “The Illinois Eye Institute” in Chicago, IL, “Mount Ogden Eye Center” in Ogden, UT, and “The Brooklyn Veterans Affairs Hospital” in Brooklyn, NY.  His externships focused on primary care, ocular disease, pediatrics, low vision, and contact lens.

Dr. Pettijohn is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Colorado Optometric Association.  Max enjoys all aspects of Optometry and has a special interest in primary care and ocular disease.  He prides himself on providing exams tailored to a patient’s individual needs.  In his spare time he enjoys snowboarding, skating, golfing, and running.

Darren Jones, OD is a recent graduate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He is originally from Aurora, Colorado and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from Brigham Young University. He completed his externships at the “Eye Center of Texas” in Houston TX, “Good Neighbor Eye Clinic” in Houston, TX, and “The University Eye Institute” in Houston TX. His externships focused on ocular disease, surgery co-management, primary care and contact lens.
