Dr. J Tyler Klein, OD

Boulder Location

   Dr. J. Tyler Klein, a native of Amarillo, Texas, earned his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University.  He then went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and now practices as a licensed therapeutic optometrist in Boulder, Colorado.
   Dr. Klein completed his externship training at two medically driven practices in Center, Texas and Dallas, Texas.  At these sites, he managed a high volume of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He also regularly participated in contact lens fittings, dry eye, cataract, and LASIK evaluations.
   In his spare time, Dr. Klein enjoys spending time with his wife Taylor and three dogs Layla, Ally, and Ryder.  He also likes to skiing, hiking, and watching Aggie football.

Dr. Lisa Hamilton, OD 

       Dr. Hamilton is a board-certified optometrist who specializes in dry eye and contact lenses.  She also provides full-scope family eye care.

       Dr. Lisa Hamilton graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1997.  She then moved to Denver and worked at Dishler Laser Institute where she performed pre-Lasik consultations and post-Lasik evaluations and was the “Center Director” from 1999-2002.
       Dr. Hamilton opened Active Eyes, P.C. (The independent doctor office located at Pearle Vision SW Plaza) in 2002 and has since been active in the OneSight Foundation personally serving on 6 global missions to Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Honduras and South Africa.
       Dr. Hamilton specializes in the management and treatment of dry eyes and glaucoma.
In her spare time, Dr. Hamilton enjoys skiing, biking, and hiking with her husband Bobby.

Dr. Courtney Putnam, OD

     Dr. Putnam earned her BS in Biology at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia.  She received her doctor of optometry from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2015. 
     After graduation, she completed a residency in refractive surgery and ocular disease at Woolfson Eye Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.  During her residency, she became proficient at pre and post LASIK exams, cataract evaluations, and management of eye conditions.  

     Dr. Putnam offers comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and treatment and management of eye diseases. She manages common diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetes.
     Dr. Putnam had also participated in an optometric mission trip to Costa Rica where she gained experience in giving eye exams in Spanish. 
     In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, playing with her two dogs, and spending time with her husband.
